Set yourself up for success and try a few of our suggestions/ideas for realistic goals and resolution.
Resolution #1: Active Lifestyle – Move at least 30 minutes every day. Exercise is good for you, we promise. Plus, some have said the secret to a successful active lifestyle is to keep in mind that exercising at a high intensity every single day can do more damage than good on your overall health and if you do too much too fast, you could burn out or worst suffer an injury. So, sticking to an exercise program perfect for your comfort level is best and easier to stick with.
During the time of January, the gym can be intimidating, as the masses all want to get back into shape for their New Year’s Resolution but moving 30 minutes a day can be super simple (you don’t necessarily the gym). Find some time during a lunch break to take a quick walk or take the stairs versus the elevator. Also, try wearing workout gear that makes you feel GOOD! Studies have shown that what we wear affects how we feel, which will also impact the ability to get resolutions done.
Resolution #2: Incorporate healthy foods into your diet. A simple way to achieve this is to add more citrus to your grocery cart. Not only do citrus fruits help keep skin looking healthy thanks to the vitamin C in it (bonus) they are in season during winter!
Many people deal with discomfort in their joints because a wide range of factors can cause joint pain. However, in most cases, it’s been shown certain foods impact your overall health. So, eat foods high in Omega-3 and Vitamin D, you can find popular sources of these nutrients such as salmon, cod, walnuts, flaxseeds!
