Anson K. Chu, DPM is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon. He has a strong interest in foot and ankle arthritis, fractures, sports injuries, and regenerative medicine. Anson was raised in Plano, TX, and obtained his BA in Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas. His passion for patient care was developed while attending podiatric medical school at Rosalind Franklin University where he graduated as a member of the Pi Delta Honors Society. He went on to complete a comprehensive surgical residency program at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. During his time there, he had the privilege to train under renowned foot and ankle surgeons at the Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center in Columbus, OH.
Anson completed his fellowship in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery at Coordinated Health-Leigh Valley in Bethlehem, PA. This fellowship focused on primary and revision total ankle replacement, trauma, and acquired deformities. During his fellowship, he treated foot and ankle injuries in Lehigh University athletes of all sports.
Patient care is of the utmost importance to him. He is committed to finding the best treatment plan suited for each patient and exhausting all conservative measures before surgical intervention. He is dedicated to staying up to date with the latest foot and ankle research to find the best approach to fit the lifestyle goals of his patients.
On a personal note, Anson’s hobbies include playing basketball (real life and fantasy), collecting sports memorabilia, traveling, and playing the piano. He has played piano since he was 4 years old. He is also a current 4-time champion for his yearly fantasy basketball league. Anson’s favorite book is A Game of Thrones.
