At G2 Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, we offer surgical and non-surgical treatment options. One of the non-surgical options are bone marrow concentrate injections available in Richmond VA.
How Are Marrow Concentrate Injections Given?
The procedure is done in the G2 office without hospitalization and minimal downtime.
- A small amount of bone marrow is taken from the back of your pelvis after numbing the area thoroughly. This is known as bone marrow aspirate (BMA)
- The BMA is spun using the proprietary Angel System from Arthrex Inc., Naples, FL which produces bone marrow concentrate (BMC)
- BMC is injected into areas of tissue damage or degeneration
How Much Do BMC Injections Cost?
Insurance plans don’t cover the cost of bone marrow concentrate injections, but patients can use FSA funds for full payment. Due to the cost of the supplies needed for these injections, full payment is required at the time of the procedure.
